Who We Are

We are a community company & charity formed to retain a local landmark & to maintain access to the sea.

Carbost Pier Ltd. was formed as a company and charity in 2007. A small, active group of volunteers joined together, determined to improve and promote Carbost Pier. Since forming the company has:
·      improved the layout, facilities and services within and around the location of the pier
·      improved road access
·      built a public toilet and shower with attached coffee shop nearby

​Carbost Pier Ltd. continue to offer moorings and berthing for all craft owners, along with a slipway for launching/recovery of small craft and a pleasant walk by the lochside.  So, whether you’re a local or a visitor passing through Loch Harport and Carbost Waterfront, you can be assured of a warm welcome in wonderful scenery.

Our pontoons that we will expand into a harbour.

We are planning to create a safe harbour that will provide berthing and shelter from strong winds.

We have strong ambitions that will create new activities and maintain services for local residents and for the many visitors to the Isle of Skye.
